Thank you for choosing Threads of Gulab. Every piece we make is thoughtfully handcrafted by skilled artisans in Jaipur, India — made to order, in small batches, using traditional hand block-printing and weaving techniques. Because of this artisanal process, we've outlined our policy clearly below so you know exactly what to expect.
1. Our Craft, Your Care
Each garment carries the character of the hands that made it. Small variations — a slightly different shade, a print that sits a touch differently from the reference photo, subtle irregularities in weave — are part of what makes a handcrafted piece genuinely handcrafted, not a manufacturing defect. We do our best to represent every product accurately through photos and descriptions before you buy.
Because items are made to order for you specifically, we're unable to accept returns or exchanges for:
Size or fit preference
Minor colour or print variation from the listing photos
Natural irregularities inherent to handmade textiles
Change of mind after the order is placed
We'd encourage you to check our size guide and product details carefully before ordering, and to reach out to us before purchase if you have any questions — we're always happy to help you choose right.
2. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If something genuinely goes wrong — the item arrives damaged in transit, has a manufacturing defect, or isn't what you ordered — we'll make it right.
To request a replacement or refund:
Contact us at support@threadsofgulab.com within 7 working days of delivery
Include your order number, along with clear photos or a short unboxing video showing the issue
Keep the item unused, unwashed, and in its original packaging until the matter is resolved
Once we've verified the claim, we'll offer a replacement where possible, or a refund if a replacement isn't available. Claims submitted after 7 working days, or without sufficient photo/video evidence, may not be eligible — this window and requirement exist so we can also file claims with our courier partners on your behalf.
3. Eligibility Conditions
For any approved replacement or refund, the item must be:
Unused and unwashed
In its original condition with tags and packaging intact
Accompanied by valid proof of the issue, submitted within the stated timeframe
If a return shipment is required, we'll share instructions after approval. Items sent back without prior approval may not be accepted.
4. Refund Timelines
Once a refund is approved:
The amount is credited to your original payment method within 5–7 working days
From there, timing depends on your bank or payment provider, which is outside our control
We'll send a confirmation once the refund has been initiated on our end
5. International Orders
International orders are final sale, with the same exceptions as above — items damaged in transit or delivered incorrectly. Customs duties, import taxes, and return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility and are non-refundable, as these are levied by third parties outside our control.
6. Order Cancellations
Since production begins shortly after confirmation, orders can be cancelled within 12 hours of placement by emailing support@threadsofgulab.com. After this window, the order enters production and cannot be cancelled or modified.
7. Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Threads of Gulab is not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to courier delays, customs holds, natural disasters, or disruptions to artisan production. We'll keep you informed and work to resolve such issues as quickly as possible.
8. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes arising from it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jaipur, Rajasthan.
